The telecom market in India is booming since 2006. Many major player's success attracts many others to the market. In the early days when Indian Market was ruled by Airtel, Hutch and BSNL. Now anyone can find More than 10 brands on their area to offer them best possible services.
During 2010 only we have witnessed few new brand launched like: Uninor, Tata DoCoMo, Idea Cellular to Eastern part of India.
We can say the after so many new companies launched their services Indian Telecom market is overcrowded and consumers are not really happy with it. Almost each month a new service provider is coming to the market to offer more and more, which is not at all suitable for a stable competition.
After the 2G Spectrum scam by the Telecom Ministry, many major operators are facing troubles, they have their licences on their kitty but unable to expand that due to 2G scam trouble.
