Penshoppe's newly released Summer 2011 ad teaser is telling us that Summer has arrived!


A day before March 2011 opens, Penshoppe uploaded on Youtube a sneak peek of its ad campaign for Summer 2011. Featured on the video are super hot models Solenn Heussaff and Akihiro Sato who were both part of the most recent season of Survivor Philippines.

Also part of the ad are Penshoppe models Bea Soriano and Ygor Pignatari.

Super Junior invades Manila, Philippines! | Super Junior Manila Concert Videos

I heard everyone in Araneta are having a blast right now since the all-male K-Pop group Super Junior are currently performing in front of their Filipino fans who are quite many!

ASAP Rocks' 'EDSA 25' Music Video

To commemorate the silver anniversary of the 1986 People Power Revolution in EDSA which restored the nation's democracy, ABS-CBN's Sunday variety show ASAP Rocks has come up with a music video which features its biggest artists.

The video shows the best singers of the show performing the theme song of the successful revolution, "Handog ng Pilipino sa Mundo" which was written by Jim Paredes of the APO Hiking Society.

The ASAP artists in this 'EDSA 25' video include Gary Valenciano, Vina Morales, Martin Nieverra, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Piolo Pascual, Sam Milby, Erik Santos, Toni Gonzaga, Christian Bautista, Aiza Seguerra, Juris, Yeng Constantino, and Jovit Baldivino.

Filipina Maria Aragon makes Lady Gaga cry over "Born This Way" cover

Lady Gaga expressed how she was moved by a cover of her song "Born This Way" on Facebook.

"Can't stop crying watching this. This is why I make music. She is the future." Lady Gaga posted on her Facebook Fanpage at around 7pm (Philippine time), yesterday.

Attached to the post is a link to a Youtube video of 10-year old Filipina Maria Aragon under the username 'roujanearagon' (Roujane Aragon is the name of Maria's sister). As of today which is the second day since the video was uploaded, the video has already gained more than 700,000 views.

James Younghusband does "Teenage Dream" parody (Video)

While having a break during their football practice before their match against Mongolia, Philippine Azkals' James Younghusband together with brother Phil and a buddy did a very cute video which I guess is a parody of Glee's "Teenage Dream". The video was uploaded on Youtube January 7th and has gained 28k+ views as of this writing. The uploader, "gaita31", indicated on the video description that it's James's response to Phil Younghusband's teach me how to Philly video. You can view Phil's video HERE.

A man stealing a laptop captured on CCTV Camera

A Youtube video uploaded by a Noypi is currently going viral on the internet. It contains a closed circuit television (CTTV) camera recording of a man stealing a laptop inside a restaurant in Manila, the Oyster Boy Metro Walk. The hidden camera shows how the theft stole the laptop from its clueless owner.

Uploaded just 2 days ago (actually just yesterday it only has 400 views when I viewed it), the Youtube video has now gained more than 120 thousand views and counting. In the video's caption, the uploader (teddypork) appeals to inform him of any leads about the criminal.

"Please inform me if the suspect is spotted, or if you know of any leads to his whereabouts. Please forward and share this video:) Any form of help will be greatly appreciated :)"

Teddypork also added details of the stolen item:

"Apple MacBook Pro (Core 2 Duo 2.8GHz, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT with 512MB, 15-inch) Serial Number: W89352LJ644"

Ngayong Pasko Magningning ang Pilipino (ABS-CBN 2010 Christmas Station ID) Video and Lyrics

An ABS-CBN tradition that many Kapamilya are looking forward to hear and see each year is the release of the TV Network's Christmas Station ID. For this year, the song Manining na Pasko (Ngayong Pasko, Magnining ang Pilipino) has been chosen and was performed by Gary Valenciano and Toni Gonzaga featuring the UST Singers conducted by Prof. Fidel G. Calalang Jr.

With music by Lloyd Corpuz and written by Jordan Constantino, Manining na Pasko was arranged and produced by Eric Perlas.

The ABS-CBN 2010 Christmas Station ID (SID) was created by ABS-CBN CCM headed by Robert Labayen, Ira Zabat, Johnny de los Santos, Patrick De Leon with the SID team, Edsel Misenas, Dang Baldonado, Kathrina Sanchez. It is directed by Paolo Ramos.

Armless Pianist, Liu Wei Wins 'China's Got Talent'

A 23-year-old male who lost both of his arms when he was still 10 years old, Liu Wei has won China's Got Talent. He lost his important limbs in an electrocution accident but still pursued his dream of being a concert pianist.

Using only his toes in playing the piano, Liu Wei amazed the judges with his audition piece, Richard Clayderman’s "Marriage D’Amour." Over the weekend, Liu was crowned the China's Got Talent 2010 winner at Shanghai Stadium, where he performed James Blunt’s famous ballad "You’re Beautiful."

GMA 7's Theatrical Version of The Philippine National Anthem

I can't help but to blog about GMA's version of the Philippine National Anthem, "Lupang Hinirang." It is just well-made and very theatrical. It beautifully retells important historical events like Lapu-Lapu's victory over Magellan's troops in the Battle of Mactan and the peaceful revolt of Filipinos in pursuit of democracy in the 1986 People Power Revolution at EDSA.

Cebu Pacific Flight Attendants Dancing Video Goes Viral

The 'Cebu Pacific Airlines Flight Attendants Dancing Video' has grown viral in the internet. Uploaded just 2 days ago, the video already has 2 million hits and counting. The video shows the flight attendants of Cebu Pacific airlines dancing their pre-flight safety measures demonstration to the tune of Lady Gagas’ Just Dance and Katy Perry’s California Girls..

Cebu Pacific Vice President for Marketing, Candice Iyog in an interview says, "Cebu Pacific has always been known as the fun airline and this is just another way to bring out our culture as an airline. Being the largest airline can still be fun especially as we showcase homegrown talent, too."

I wonder who the pretty girl in the video is. For sure, it's an instant stardom for her. I will not be surprised to see her on TV the coming days.

I have been in a couple of flights of Cebu Pacific and they indeed have this kind of fun stuff. I remember they held a trivia game one time I was on their flight.

Sarah Murdoch Announces Wrong Australia's Next Top Model 2010 Winner

In the live telecast of Australia's Next Top Model 2010, a mistake was made by the host of the show, Sarah Murdoch as she announced the winner of the competition. Instead of Amanda Ware, she declared Kelsey Martinovich as the winner. Just after the two finalists already said their speeches, Murdoch tried to explain saying,

“Oh my God, I don’t know what to say right now. I’m feeling a bit sick about this. No. I’m so sorry about this. Oh my God. I don’t know what to say. This was a complete accident.”

“It’s Amanda, I’m so sorry. It was fed to me wrong. Oh God. This is what happens when you have live TV folks. This is insane. Insane, insane, insane.”

The controversy lead to the producers of the show offering both models to send to New York to meet with Elite Model Management and also giving Kelsey a consolation prize worth $25,000.

KevJumba and His Dad on Amazing Race Season 17

Waaaaah... I know Amazing Race Season 17 is to premier today but I did not know that I'd be seeing a familiar face as I watched it just moments ago. I saw KevJumba and his dad in the show!

For those who does not know, KevJumba (Kevin Wu) is a Youtube 'celebrity' who is known for his funny clips in the video site. His dad, Michael Wu, already appeared on KevJumba's videos also. So this explains why Kevjumba was out from youtube for like a month last summer. Presumably, he was with his dad racing with other 10 teams around the globe.

I hope they'll do better in the next leg since they were just 7th to arrive at the piststop in the premier episode. I just wanna see more of them. :D
